WEEKEND AWAY

I recently went away for the weekend and it was lovely, sun, beach, drinks, relaxing and delish food - just what Summer should be like. Although I definitely forgot how strong the sun was which resulted in me hobbling around with Sunburn for the next few days. I did actually tan which is amaze for me since I'm so white it hurts and can normally neverrrr tan! Fake it till you make it is gonna have to be my motto this summer. Speaking of, does anyone have any recommendations for a good fake tanner?

AQUA AND BLACK

Top - Dotti / Sunnies - Wildpair / Watch - Ripcurl

These photos are from when I was still living in Wellington a week or so ago. I have since moved home and it's beautiful and warm but I still miss Wellington, mainly because it still has my boyfriend.
No fair.

I really like the summery, light look + feel of the cute croptop from Dotti, I got it on sale for only $20 so that was a score, and the pleated skirt and sandals are SO old. I also have since taken my nose ring out - which I'm not happy about but what can ya do.

I'm off to enjoy my day off work in this beautiful weather with my family. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

LULLABY

Sunnies - ASOS / Maxi Dress - Glassons / Vintage Shorts - Lullaby of Birdland

Just a quick post on some items I've picked up recently. I got these ASOS sunnies online the other day - online sunglasses shopping is always kind-of dodgy, I'm not keen on it because you never know what they'll look like on your face. These were a perfect example, I didn't expect them so be quite so blingy/reflective/transformer - esk. But I think I'll still get some wear out of them even if it's just by the pool or around home.

I got this dress awhile ago and only just found it in my wardrobe while packing to move home. I love the bright colour and chiffon fabric, as-well as the small cut out detailing down the front - it's the perfect summer/BBQ dress I'm thinking. I can't wait for the real summer heat to kick in so I can get this baby some wear.

These shorts are so cool, I saw them and was hoping to god they'd fit me. They're vintage high-waisted denim shorts from Lullaby of Birdland - a Vintage shop + Coffee Shop Boutique in Wellington.

I'm writing this from the comfort of my parents lounge, with a Raspberry Green tea in hand. It's lovely to be home but I'm missing my boyfriend and work is really taking it out of me.

LABOUR WEEKEND

Sunnies - Asos / Floral Crown - DIY'd by me / Shirt - Paper scissors

Today was such lovely weather here in Wellington and I couldn't help but embrace it with my summery clothes. I started the day off with some early shopping with my boyfriend and a Tank juice, then went shopping and got lunch with Kendra from stoleninspiration.com - this is what we wore.
I'll update with the items I picked up from the Army Surplus store in the next few posts so keep an eye out.
I'm just enjoying my last few days here with my Uni friends before I head back home to work for the Summer - so we're going out for dinner and wines tonight, then we'll probably go to town.

P.s I made the floral crown I'm wearing in this look - let me know what you think?

BLUE SKIES

Source - Taken courtesy of myself

I recently got a new DSLR camera. I got the Nikon D3100 as a kind of beginner / learner entry level jobby and have been loving it. It's a million times better than trying to take nice pictures on my shitty little point and shoot plus it's wicked for photographing my Uni work and makes everything look amaze. Here are some pictures I took when I first got it a few weeks ago.. I'm still learning but I love the colour quality, and how sharp and real the pictures look. In-case you're wondering these are of my View of Wellington City from my bedroom - very beautiful, I'm definitely gonna miss this over Summer.

On an amazingly positive note I'm officially FINISHED Uni for the year, so now I  have a 4 month holiday to chill with my fam bam + boy, work and relax. I'm sooo excited for New Years and keep forgetting that there's also Christmas and Summer to look forward to in-between. I can't believe how fast time flew and now I've got my whole first year down... 3 more to go and I'm done and dusted and can hopefully start traveling.

Well I'm off to enjoy the lovely weather and celebrate finishing :)
Have a lovely weekend xx

LOVERS

Source - Tumblr

I'm in such a weird mood, I'm sitting on my bed drinking a caramel latte and eating trail mix, while listening to Roman Birch - oh so indulgent. Considering I have Hand-ins for Uni this week / today there is a lot of other things I should be doing.
I just want it to be summer, I'm looking forward to moving back to my parents house and getting out of this city for awhile. I miss the carefree, relaxed atmosphere (and the free food, power and internet is a bonus) - poor Uni student here!!

I also feel guilty because I've been neglecting my blog, but I guess Uni work should obviously take priority. When I get home expect a lot more outfit posts, also the beautiful scenery will be a bonus.

Take care xx

CHEEKY

I'm so excited with all these opportunities coming up lately regarding Work, Uni, Flatting and the summer holidays. ALSO my camera should be arriving today, which is a cheeky wee purchase of mine... so now I don't have to worry about borrowing other peoples all the time to shoot things for my blog. I can't wait for it to arrive and I'm addicted to checking track and trace website, so I can go downstairs and get the beaut. I don't know about you but I hate waiting, I'm the most impatient person ever. So expect more regular updates from me from now on.

I only have just under 3weeks left of Uni then my whole first year will be complete.. Time flys it feels like only yesterday I was packing up my things and moving myself to a different city to start this 'best time of my life', as they say.

On a side note, this picture is completely unrelated but is a recent one of my and my lovely boyfriend.

TAKE IT

Today is a rainy, miserable day where I live. I had Uni this morning and have been chilling / procrastinating ever since, so thought why not be productive and at least take some pictures for my blog. I've been eying up a few new DSLR's because I'm constantly having to use my flatmates and friends cameras and I really want my own so I can also do product reviews on here too.I chose to wear this floaty olive dress because it's oh so comfy and feels like I'm wearing nothing - which is always good for a lazy, can't be bothered day. I then chucked on this Vintage crochet cardigan which I found at a local Op-Shop and my black beanie to tame my mop. My friend Kendra, who's blog you can find here, is wearing her camo jacket from the Army Surplus store, and a Unif tee.

For me Uni is coming to an end for the year, which only means one thing STRESS. I find that doing Design always means all-nighters before hand ins, because I generally suck at time management and end up leaving my finals to the last minute. I'm also flat hunting and considering doing Summer School to get ahead on my Degree. Argh so much to think about.

I'm off to drink tea and watch online tv. What do you do to chill on rainy days?

P.s I hate it how I look 10 just because I'm 4'11

RING HER UP AND ASK HER

This is what I wore on a lazy cant-be-bothered day at Uni. The weather here is so up and down, half the time I get outside and realize I'm in completely the wrong outfit and end up freezing my ass off.

Today, however was the most lovely day ever, a perfect sunny Sunday. I enjoyed it with my boyfriend and friends, we got delish Sushi for lunch and chilled in the sun. I managed to avoid doing Uni work all weekend. I am sat here, snacking on trail mix and it's still so sunny outside, I'm off to make a cup of tea and get onto my stack of work, joy.

I hope you have/had a lovely weekend, what did you get up to?
